Who operates this preview
CHATBOO PTY LTD operates this Pengame preview for demonstration and review and is responsible for the personal information it handles for that purpose. Contact admin@chatboo.app. This notice covers this preview, not Pengame’s existing website or a future Pengame-operated service.
Local choices
Saved battle IDs, lyric moments and your theme choice stay in browser storage until changed or cleared. Search runs locally. Saved choices are not uploaded. Optional accounts and community votes use the separate service described below. There is no payment or public-posting feature. Your browser or device backup services may copy local data. Thumbnails are cached for up to 24 hours, with up to 64 images, and reused on battle pages; the browser can clear cached data earlier.
Accounts and community votes
If you create an account, AWS Cognito processes your email address, password, verification/recovery codes and sign-in information. CHATBOO does not retain your plaintext password in the app. Account identifiers link your private ballots to public aggregate counts. Individual votes and email addresses are not public. Public catalogue and results requests disclose network/device information to AWS; signed-in requests also carry an authentication token. Browsing and video remain available without creating an account.
Account deletion and retention
Active accounts and votes remain until you request deletion or withdraw a vote. Use Settings → Account → Delete account, or visit the account-deletion page below for help. Deletion first blocks further voting, then removes linked votes, updates even closed totals and deletes the Cognito account. Request records and deletion tombstones expire after seven days; database expiry can take longer to complete. Database recovery copies may retain deleted data for seven days and are not used to restore deleted accounts to the service. Service logs expire after seven days; failed deletion-delivery records can remain for 14 days while investigated. If deletion is requested directly through AWS instead, daily reconciliation normally starts cleanup within 24–48 hours. Unverified signups older than 30 days are removed by the daily job. Account processing and security
The account/voting service runs on AWS in us-east-1. CHATBOO uses email/password accounts to provide the voting feature you request, verification/recovery messages to maintain access, and limited operational records to protect the service and process deletion. App sign-in tokens stay in memory and are cleared on sign-out or process exit; passwords are not saved by the app. Your device or password manager may offer its own password saving. No account email, ballot or authentication token is intentionally written to application logs. Only the operator can publish or close community polls.
Hosting requests
This preview uses AWS Amplify, with the app configured in us-east-1 and content delivered globally. Requests disclose IP address, requested path/query, time and browser/network information to AWS. CHATBOO’s initial administrator accesses hosting and logs from Australia. Do not put private information or credentials in URLs. AWS documents access-log retention until the Amplify app is deleted, which can mean years while the preview remains available.
AWS and overseas processing
AWS provides hosting and content delivery. Its delivery, processing and support can involve locations outside the UK, including Australia and the United States; the app region is not a promise that all processing stays there. We use AWS’s applicable data-processing terms and transfer safeguards. Contact CHATBOO for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
YouTube and thumbnails
Opening a battle connects to Google/YouTube automatically. Catalogue thumbnails also load from YouTube. These requests send your IP address, browser/device information and selected image or video. YouTube may use cookies or similar storage, identifiers and viewing activity for playback, advertising, measurement and security. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and YouTube’s Terms below. The companion does not request your Google password or Google account permissions.
Player controls
Use the original YouTube controls to play, or close the embedded player and continue reading. Closing removes the player but leaves the cached thumbnail. Load player, a lyric seek or opening another battle can load YouTube again. Closing does not delete Google’s data or cookies, or cancel information already sent and requests in flight.
Enquiries and editorial content
If you email CHATBOO, we receive your address, message and voluntary attachments to answer you. We keep demo enquiries until the review and related enquiry are complete, then delete them unless a legal obligation or dispute requires longer. Email-service recovery or backup systems may retain copies beyond mailbox deletion. The preview also publishes approved stage names, lyrics, notes and media references; contact CHATBOO for a correction or rights concern.
Purposes and choices
CHATBOO uses information to demonstrate and maintain the companion, answer enquiries, protect it and address corrections or legal obligations. Where UK data-protection law applies, CHATBOO relies on legitimate interests for these purposes and legal obligations for required records. Google describes its processing and provider controls separately. No app-owned analytics or advertising SDK is added; YouTube may show ads.
Rights and updates
Ask admin@chatboo.app to access, correct, erase or restrict information CHATBOO holds, or to exercise applicable objection/portability rights. We may need proportionate information to locate it.
